A delicate launch for Lost Ark which suffers from its success

While many players were there for the launch of Lost Ark, like New World, the MMO quickly fell victim to its own success.

After weeks of waiting, Lost Ark finally opened its doors on February 8 in early access. Very quickly a large number of players rushed there, soon joined by an even larger influx of players when the game was officially released.

Unfortunately not everything went as planned and the MMORPG quickly suffered from its popularity, un chaotic launch which was reminiscent of that of New World.

Indeed, the launch of Lost Ark did not go smoothly. From day one of Early Access, the servers very quickly began to suffer from this influx of players and it didn’t get better afterwards.

Smilegate

As with New World, the launch of Lost Ark was quite chaotic.

So much so that the developers had to postpone the opening of the servers by several hours on Friday, February 11, for players who could not take advantage of early access. Despite this postponement, a good number of players persisted in having problems accessing the MMO.

A more complicated launch than expected for Lost Ark

Even today players have to face long queues to hope to discover what Lost Ark has in store. As if that weren’t enough, many bugs have already disrupted the player experience.

While discontent continues to grow on the web, the developers have already promised bonuses for players “who logged in between launch and 2/13 at 6 p.m. as a little thank you” and now they are working hard to fix the server issues.

It remains to be seen whether this will be enough to ensure a better future for the MMORPG than that of New World, which is struggling to calmly continue on its way.
