The Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak expansion gets a bit of an update with a new trailer and details ahead of its release on Nintendo Switch and PC. A demo is also planned and here is its content.
The RE series certainly took a big place during the Capcom Showcase 2022 with Resident Evil 4 Remake, the Resident Evil Village scripted DLC and the new-gen free update to Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7, but Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak didn’t give up. Trailers and demo details, here is all the latest information.
Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak is aimed at fans
Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak arrives next June 30 on Nintendo Switch and PC, but you can already read our hot impressions of this expansion. But for now, we take stock.
The Jungle environment, seen in the second generation of Monster Hunter games, is back with a look that changes over time. “Longtime fans will rejoice in exploring the devastated ruins of the Coastal Zone” says Capcom. And so as not to fall into a boring routine either, there will be new elements such as fauna and flora.
Two monsters also make their return: Espinas from Monster Hunter Frontier and Gore Magala, a force of nature and star of Monster Hunter 4. In the trailer, we also note the presence of the Hermitaur Daimyo and the Rakna-Kadaki subspecies of fire.
A free Nintendo Switch and PC demo
The Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak demo will be available in a few hours, Wednesday, June 15 (just after 4 a.m.), simultaneously on Nintendo Switch and PC. It will be aimed at newcomers as well as veterans with quests of increasing difficulty
- Kill a Great Izuchi (beginner)
- Hunt a Tetranadon (Intermediate)
- Kill an Astalos (expert)
- Kill the Malzeno (super hard)
Playable in solo or multiplayer, the Sunbreak demo will feature practice quests to familiarize you with the basic mechanics. They will be divided into three parts: “Wyvern Ride”, “Basics” and “Substitute Talent Transfer”. Obviously, on Switch, you need a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
The MH Rise Sunbreak expansion will be released on June 30, 2022 on Nintendo Switch and PC.
