The 2023 edition of the Series Mania Festival, which will be held in Lille from March 17 to 24, has definitely not finished surprising us.
After unveiling a large part of its program at the beginning of February, the international festival dedicated to series from around the world has just announced a guest of honor whose presence in Lille will no doubt delight fans of Desperate Housewives and of Melrose Place.
The actress Marcia Cross indeed joins the list of exceptional guests who will come to meet the public and give highly anticipated masterclasses during this new edition.
Like Brian Cox (Succession), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Emily in Paris), Cédric Klapisch (Greek Salad) or Lisa Joy, Westworld showrunner and president of the international competition jury.

Present for two days at Séries Mania, Marcia Cross, who has become a cult figure on American television thanks to her roles as Bree Van de Kamp in Desperate Housewives and Kimberly Shaw in Melrose Place, will offer the public a masterclass on Tuesday March 21 at 5:30 p.m. where she will look back on almost 40 years of career.
While the festival has also entrusted her with a carte blanche which will be held on Wednesday March 22 at 2 p.m. at the UGC, during which she will present her two favorite episodes from series in her filmography.
A filmography which also includes West Coast, Everwood, Quantico, You, in which she participated in season 3, or even Monarch, a new series in France carried by Anna Friel and Susan Sarandon.
The presence of Marcia Cross in Lille is not the only announcement made this week by Series Mania since the Lille festival also revealed on Monday that the first episode of season 4 of Succession would be presented in preview on Wednesday March 22. And that Tomer Sisley (Balthazar) and the Japanese star Tomohisa Yamashita (Alice in Borderland, The Drops of God) would also lend themselves to the exercise of the masterclass.
