Usually only available through a PlayStation Plus subscription, its most popular feature will soon be accessible for a few days for free, whether you have a PS4 or a PS5. The opportunity in particular to see certain games in your collection in a different way.
The main component of PlayStation Plus free for a very limited time
Of Saturday June 22 to Sunday June 23, 2024 at 11:59 p.m., all PS4 or PS5 players will be able to enjoy the online multiplayer of PlayStation Plus at no cost. It will thus be possible to join your friends in cooperative games, or indulge in the multiplayer game of titles from your library. Also a good way to celebrate the fresh arrival of Discord voice chat directly on PS5, if you have this console. This free access will be activated automatically on the day, without requiring any action on your part. However, it is quite logically necessary to have a PSN account and to be connected to the Internet to take advantage of this offer.
Another major downside to note: if access to PlayStation Plus multiplayer will be free this weekend, this will not be the case for the big multiplayer games on PS4/PS5 consoles such as Helldivers 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 or even FC 24. PlayStation indeed specifies that the games are offered separately from this free trial offer. If you do not plan to take out a subscription after the trial offer, do not purchase mainly multiplayer games, or it will have been a complete loss.
On the other hand, it is a good opportunity to test the multiplayer games that are free to play, such as Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone, Destiny 2 or even Warframe. As you will have understood, the time allotted will however be quite limited. If these games are not already installed on your console, you should do so before the big day to optimize the time allotted to you.
