The American giant is suffering the repercussions of a dispute it has with the company Masimo, a medical company based in California. The subject of the conflict between the two parties concerns the blood oxygen saturation sensor present in the latest Apple watches, the subject of a trial which the Cupertino firm lost. Apple will have to pause the sale of watches
This is a big blow for Apple! According to New York Timesthe group will have to stop the sale of its Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 in the United States from Thursday, December 21, while they will be withdrawn from stores on Sunday, December 24.
This announcement follows the decision of the International Trade Commission, which gave two months after a trial lost by Apple to reach an agreement with Masimo. According to its director, Joe Kiani, Apple did not appeal, and turned to Joe Biden to veto the Commission’s decision.
