While the Google I/O will take place on May 10 and we are awaiting the presentation of the Pixel 7a as well as availability in France, its leaked price. If it turns out to be true, it would represent a significant increase over the launch price of the Pixel 6a.
The leaks have continued in recent days around the Pixel 7a and for good reason: its announcement does not seem very far away if we believe them. Indeed, this May 10 will take place the Google I / O, the big annual conference of Google, with each year important announcements. We could see the presentation of the Pixel 7a, a mid-range smartphone that is more affordable than the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. But a few days before the conference, the French price leaked.
The French price of the Pixel 7a
It’s the leaker French billbil-kun who reveals the French price of the Pixel 7a: it would be 509 euros, regardless of the version. Only the colors would change: there would be Arctic Blue, Cotton and Carbon. He adds that an official protective shell sold by Google would also be available, in four colors: Arctic Blue, White, Carbon and Jade. It would be marketed at a price of 34.99 euros.

In response to a user, the leaker indicates that there would be an offer of reimbursement (ODR) “coming», without knowing the conditions, the amount or the advantages. As a guide, billbil-kun is known to be quite reliable, although this does not guarantee the rates it advertises.
A Pixel 7a more expensive than the Pixel 6a at launch
If the launch price of 509 euros turns out to be correct, it would be a significant increase compared to that of the Pixel 6a, which was marketed last year at 459 euros. A damaging price increase since the price was precisely one of the big arguments of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, two smartphones whose price had not increased compared to their previous versions, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. As for the US price, it would be $499, which is $50 more than the previous version.
Google could previously boast of not having increased its prices, at a time when almost all other manufacturers were forced to do so because of the economic crisis and shortages of components. All that remains is to wait until the Google conference which will take place in a few days. According to Jon Prosser, the smartphone would be launched the same day, which would change Google’s usual schedule: as a reminder, the Pixel 6a was released on July 21, 2022.
