We are a few hours away from the opening of WWDC 2023, the conference that must be the most important in recent Apple history, in particular due to the presentation of its first mixed reality headset. In the home stretch, rumors are multiplying around the expected announcements: iOS 17, watchOS 10, the famous headphones and even some new Macs.

On the Apple side, the campus is being prepared to receive journalists and influencers from around the world to accompany the conference.

A large space dedicated to the helmet

Journalist Mark Gurman for Bloomberg highlighted two changes to Apple Park, Apple’s large campus in California. Apple had two additional white buildings built for the occasion on the outskirts of its campus. The first, on the right of the aerial photo above, should accommodate the press for the conference. No question of making the presentation outdoors this year. Maybe live demos require more environmental control?

– Apple has built a large structure on the Apple Park campus to provide controlled hands-on demos of the device to some attendees and media at the conference. The company has set up an area at the basketball courts near its employee fitness center. Apple is also planning future… https://t.co/4DlYVGlGzq

The second building is at the top left of the photo and will be dedicated to the demos of the mixed reality headset. According to the journalist, the first testers will be able to try out experiences around Apple TV+ and video games in virtual reality. Let’s hope that Apple has come up with other demos to justify a headset estimated at $3,000 and aimed at developers in the first place.

We should therefore quickly have the details of Apple on its product, but also the first feedback from the press on the novelties of the firm.
