A few minutes after the complicated birth of his daughter, he goes to have his phone repaired

She lived a more than amazing story… And to say the least scandalous! A mother told her story about giving birth in a video posted on Tiktok. Erinjade Rand is Australian, mother of 5 children and the birth of her youngest left a memory that she is not likely to forget. Indeed, during the birth of his little Reynah, the events did not really go as planned. And for good reason, her boyfriend has made a decision she won’t forget. Or forgive him? The midwife present during the delivery must have been surprised.

Her daughter Reynah had her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck when she was born, which prevented her from breathing. A childbirth which was, inevitably, a moment of great stress for the mother, since her was blue and did not move. As she sought the support of her companion in this difficult moment, the latter was on his phone. He was filming the scene. “I was still in the tub, alone, without my partner comforting me. He was still filming at the time and I was looking around thinking, ‘Am I really there?'”, she explained in her video. When little Reynah took her first breath, the midwife then led the mother to the bed for the delivery of the placenta. That’s when the dad chose to leave.

A lack of involvement

“My partner said he was going to get his phone screen fixed. I think I probably just nodded in shock at everything that just happened. All of my kids were born naturally in water and I had never had an experience like the one I had with Reynah. It was absolutely awful.”, confided the mother. In childbirth shock, Erinjade didn’t realize her partner was gone. But a year after the birth of her daughter, she now understands that it showed his complete lack of involvement.

But Erinjade isn’t the only one to have seen this attitude from dad. “My midwife was absolutely brilliant and I couldn’t have gotten through this without her. I don’t think she liked her very much to be honest. I say this because when I was in labor and I was pushing, he was sitting playing video games on his phone and the midwife was trying to get his attention. She said, “Are you going to come and help now?” He replied: “Yes, I will when I am done playing this game”, told the mother of the family before adding: “It’s not even the worst, I had to shower and get ready to leave the hospital. Normally dads watch the baby while the mother showers but he wasn’t there so the midwife watched her. He was supposed to pick us up at the maternity ward around 4:30 p.m. but he didn’t come until 5:45 p.m.. I think that annoyed the midwife even more.”

A turbulent return

The months following Reynah’s birth were very tense for the couple, who then decided to go to couples therapy. “During a session where we were asked what our first priority was, I said that it was the happiness of my children that mattered most. My partner replied that basketball was his first priority. The therapist said he was narcissistic, which he obviously didn’t appreciate. But fortunately these sessions opened my eyes“explained the young mother.

Today Erinjade decided to end his relationship with Reynah’s dad and feels much stronger. “This relationship taught me so much. It taught me how to be on my guard and not to trust so much. It also taught me that if a person doesn’t want to be helped, then they can’t be helped. . I feel stupid, I thought he could have done better.”
