Nikon Film Festival

The 13th edition of Nikon Film Festival ended this Friday, April 21 with the award ceremony at Le Grand Rex cinema. An unmissable event in the film world and a great springboard for young talent, this free event open to all allows budding filmmakers to make a 2-minute 20-minute short film on an imposed theme.

This year, the theme was linked to the number of this edition, number 13! “At the heart of many beliefs, the number 13 holds a special place in the symbolism of numbers: a large part of the Western world associates it with misfortune, where China associates it with a lucky charm…”, say the organizers. “As every year, the chosen theme voluntarily leaves room for a great possibility of interpretations for the filmmakers who wish to express themselves through the festival. Beyond a simple constraint, it makes it possible to determine a framework in which several hundred different looks will express their creativity.

To award the prizes for this 13th edition, Alexandre Astier, president of the Jury, and a host of talents have come together. Among the members, we find Caroline Anglade, Mariama Gueye, Pio Marmaï, Luciole, François Descraques, Maud Chalard, Romain Quirot, Guillemette Odicino, Pascale Faure, David Bertrand and Alexandre Dino.
