A financial investigation opened into the activities of the CEO of Assu 2000, accused of raping a minor

An investigation was opened in particular for abuse of corporate assets on the activities of the former boss of the insurance brokerage group Assu 2000 Jacques Bouthier before he was imprisoned at the end of May for rape of a minor, indicated the Paris prosecutor’s office. , confirming information from M6.

This investigation, entrusted to the financial brigade, was opened on May 12, ten days before the indictment and imprisonment of Jacques Bouthier.

It also targets acts of concealment of misuse of corporate assets and money laundering in an organized gang, according to the prosecution.

Aged 75, the entrepreneur was indicted on May 21 following a preliminary investigation opened in mid-March with five other people, notably for trafficking in human beings and rape of a minor.

He is also being prosecuted for criminal association with a view to committing the crime of kidnapping and sequestration in an organized gang and possession of child pornography images.

According to a source close to the case quoted by RTL radio, which revealed this case, a 22-year-old young woman presented herself to the Parisian police in March, explaining that for five years, she had been captive of a very wealthy man who violated. Becoming, according to him, too old for him, the young woman would have been forced to find a replacement to take over. A 14-year-old girl then took her place in the apartment.

The complainant managed to film them together in a bed, before entrusting the video to the investigators.

The CEO is suspected of having wanted to set up a team to kidnap the young woman, seize the video and force her to leave France, according to RTL. For this, the septuagenarian would have solicited his wife, two employees of his company, a young woman close to the complainant, as well as a former gendarme member of the elite group GIGN.

At least seven young women, minors or young adults, would have succeeded in the apartment, according to RTL.

Founded in 1975 by Mr. Bouthier, the Assu 2000 group, which became Vilavi in January, presents itself as the first expert broker in insurance and credit dedicated to individuals in France and claims 1,800 employees, 163 million euros in turnover and nearly 550,000 insured customers.

On May 31, the group announced the appointment of a new president.
