A certain game from the Lord of the Rings universe is finally getting ready to come to light, and is giving us a first glimpse beforehand. It’s promising.
For several years, The Lord of the Rings has produced great video game productions (Gollum never existed). We can cite Shadow of Mordor and War, but also Return to Moria which was released in 2023. Generally speaking, the franchise still has a bright future ahead of it, something which should not bother many people. One of the next ones on the list is Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game. The problem is that he has not yet revealed his gameplay or a long in-game sequence to present himself as it should. Fortunately, that’s about to change, as this first look proves.
The Lord of the Rings in video games, it continues with Tales of the Shire
Last year, we had the pleasant surprise of seeing the announcement of Tales of the Shire, a new game coming from the ovens of Weta Workshop. We didn’t have a real trailer to sink our teeth into, but a small description of the adventure to come. Finally, we say “adventure”, but the idea is rather to immerse us in the life of a simple hobbit. The proposed experience will “warm the heart”, but that’s about all the information we have about it. So obviously, we would like to know more. The studio understands this well, and it will soon reveal a trailer.
When exactly, we don’t know. But the firm is clear, it happens. She explained it on social networks, including a quote well known to fans: “In a hole lived a hobbit”. The message was still accompanied by a short video, where we can see a place located in the Shire. Here we have a little glimpse of our future playground, and it should evoke some memories for Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit aficionados. We can say that it makes you want to relax near the river.
For the moment, Tales of the Shire does not have a release date, but it won’t be long. The approaching trailer will probably reveal it to us, even if we shouldn’t move forward too quickly. The same goes for the platforms concerned. Afterwards, we suspect that it should land on PC and consoles, but once again, let’s avoid asserting anything. We simply can’t wait to see more about this game which will take us back into the world of Lord of the Rings.
