We’ve heard again about Superman Legacy, and this time, the community is wondering about the information we got. For good reason, the link was made with a very specific comic book.
Superman Legacy is the next film dedicated to the famous superhero. Well, it’s not ready to come out yet, but every time it resurfaces, our mouths water. At the moment, we don’t know much about him, apart from part of his casting. The latter looks promising, and we can’t wait to see it in action. In the meantime, we have just obtained additional information on James Gunn’s feature film. To be more precise, it directly concerns the Kryptonian.
Superman logo revealed
It’s a small detail, but it can make all the difference. The actress who will play Hawkgirl, Isabela Merced, participated in a reading of the script and she shared an interesting detail via a snap she posted on Instagram. It shows the Superman Legacy logo, which you can see below. Well, on paper, there is nothing exciting to note. It may also be destined to change, but that is not the question. A handful of fans were struck by the sight of this logo, and the link was quickly made with a certain comic book.
Indeed, it strangely resembles the one worn by Superman from Kingdom Come. If you don’t know, we are far from the story that awaits us. This comic immerses us in an alternative universe where Kal-El retreats to the Fortress of Solitude after the murder of Lois Lane. Wonder Woman eventually convinces him to return, and he then forms a new version of the Justice League. In the story, we find in particular clashes between factions of superheroes, and many of them perish in combat.
As you will have understood, there is little chance that Superman Legacy will tell us a similar story. Especially since we will be facing a younger Clark Kent, played by David Corenswet. We are therefore surely dealing with a little wink which did not fail to make a few people react. Afterwards, we are not safe from a surprise, but it seems unlikely. In any case, we won’t have the answer anytime soon, since the film should normally be released on July 11, 2025. We’ll have to be patient.
