You know the music by heart. While the iPhone 13
and iPhone 13 Pro
have been available for several months, analysts, informants and others are struggling to try to put their finger on what the future model, in this case the iPhone 14, will look like.
This is how, by coming across the rumors that have so far reached our ears, the prop Pigtou commissioned the leaker David Kowalski (xleaks7) to make a 3D rendering of what Apple’s future smartphone could look like.
No more notch, but…
All of this is obviously to be taken with a grain of salt. Kowalski is only putting into image what we think we know about the iPhone 14; in particular through Ming-Chi Kuo, who has several times predicted the – expected – disappearance of the notch on the next model.
Only, as we see here, the notch would ultimately only moult into a kind of “capsule” attached to a punch as we are used to seeing on Android smartphones. It is not yet a panacea for those who dream of a total screen, but there is better.
For the rest, most of the design of the current iPhone 13 Pro should remain unchanged. From its huge island of cameras to its incorrigible Lightning port. On the other hand, the iPhone 14 and 14 Max (the “mini” model seems to be bowing out) could ship the same A15 Bionic chip as their predecessors. Indeed, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, quoted by Forbes, Apple would struggle to produce enough A16 chips to cover its entire lineup. And would take the opportunity to offer its latest chip only to Pro models. Well let’s see.
