A few days before the start of the closed beta of Overwatch 2, a first tier list based on the alpha version indicates which are the best and the worst characters.
Players around the world are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Overwatch 2 beta which is scheduled for April 26.
But before the serious stuff begins, an analytically-minded gamer has created a tier list of all the updated heroes.
Based on numerous reviews from Overwatch influencers and pros, this tier list may well give a good idea of which heroes will be meta, and which will have a lower pick rate when the beta opens.

The first tier list of Overwatch 2 before the beta
One of the major events of Overwatch 2’s first alpha phase was the rapid nerf to Sojourn. Many players quickly felt that this all-new character was far too powerful, and as a result, the developers directly applied adjustments to it.
And taking into account this change and feedback from many pro players, Reddit user F1gment has compiled the most comprehensive tier list we’ve seen so far for Overwatch 2.
At the top of this list and quite surprisingly is everyone’s favorite support hero: Lucio. The Brazilian hero is alone at the top of the list because he is much more resistant than all the other Supports.
Lucio is currently considered the “best hero” in Overwatch 2, at least according to this tier list.
The other heroes follow next in this tier list and looking at the table as a whole, Overwatch 2 seems to be fairly balanced. Only Lucio is in the very first rank, while Chopper is considered the worst hero right behind Jackal.
Of course, as the closed beta kicks off on April 26, we’ll have a new, much larger cross-section of opinions on hero powers to consider very soon.
However, it’s still good to know what the game looks like as we approach the beta, especially for those of us who will be lucky enough to have access to it.
