With Jordan De Luxe, a former Star Academy finalist confided in the rare genetic disease she has suffered from for several years. After having remained silent for a long time, she has now decided to talk about it.

She decided to speak out after years of silence. In 2004, Lucie Bernardoni took part in the star Academy, famous TF1 tele-hook which launched many stars like Jenifer and Nolwenn Leroy, and which is about to make its big comeback soon. Then aged 17, the young woman even made it to the final, which she unfortunately narrowly missed in favor of the late Grégory Lemarchal. And already at the time, Lucie Bernardoni, who applied to join the teaching staff of the next edition of the Star Ac’, knew she was suffering from a rare genetic disease, which she never wanted to talk about publicly. Especially because she had “forbidden to complain” while on the show, due to Gregory’s diseasewho had cystic fibrosis.

“Since a long time”Lucie Bernardoni knows that she has a genetic disease. “But I was like, ‘I don’t have to talk about it’, and one day I got fed up and it was instinct that spoke”she explained to Jordan De Luxe on her show At Jordan’sspecifying to have some “needed”. “I was tired of having to lie when I was tired, when I felt unwell”she added, before revealing to be having Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. “We will say, to explain simply, that many people suffer from it and it is muscle and vascular disease. Collagen does not pass well into the tissues. […] I was diagnosed quite latethere is a lot of medical wandering, as with many genetic diseases”she regretted.

Lucie Bernardoni assumes her depression

A little-known disease, which however has many repercussions on his life, most of which can be difficult to bear. I don’t have great health. I will definitely not be able to be pregnant againto my great despair”, thus regretted Lucie Bernardoni, who in 2010 gave birth to a daughter, named Lily Angelina. A “something that was difficult to accept” for her, so much so that she is fell into depression. “For a long time, and as a woman, I hid from depression for a long time. It was as far as wanting to jump over a balcony”she admitted, adding that it was her daughter who prevented her from getting this far. “We forget ourselves and we put the human being who matters most to us before us, and it’s simply an instinct”she explained, and to add: “I am still in depression, I assume it. […] It’s a disease, it can be treated and I’m no longer ashamed of it.”
