While waiting for Starfield’s Shattered Space DLC, the original game recently received a free new feature that will greatly delight Star Wars fans.
This free new feature echoes a recent official addition that has been highly anticipated by the Starfield community: the arrival of a ground vehicle that has been requested since the game’s release last year. A double dose of fun, in short, from a Star Wars fan, for Star Wars fans.
Starfield and Star Wars Crossover Lands for Free
At Gamescom 2024, Starfield made a double announcement that sparked a surge of interest in Bethesda’s space RPG. On the one hand, a release date set for its Shattered Space DLC. On the other, the long-awaited rollout of a ground vehicle, codenamed REV-8. Barely a week after its arrival, modders have seized on it to create vehicles of their own.
One of the new Starfield mods that has garnered the most attention in this regard is a highly accurate reproduction of Luke Skywalker’s iconic X-34 Landspeeder from Star Wars A New Hope by radicalclown. It’s worth noting, however, that this completely transforms the game’s base vehicle. Given the popularity of this vehicle among fans, such a creation, made at record speed, was immediately met with explosive reception.
To find yourself at the controls of this Landspeeder in Starfield, you should download the mod via its dedicated page on Nexus Mods. Then, you will obviously have to buy the REV-8 in the game, whose appearance will therefore be replaced by Luke’s racing car. Despite an already very faithful reproduction made in such a short time, the modder nevertheless intends to refine his creation, in particular to make it more maneuverable or add new features. Other similar mods have also caused a sensation, such as a very faithful remake of NASA’s famous Lunar Rover. Some are still toying with the idea of eventually being able to integrate the iconic Mako from Mass Effect into Starfield.
