This Tuesday, August 3, Charlotte and Laura Tremble impressed during their technical duet in synchronized swimming carried by a powerful theme: violence against women, especially marital. “We wanted a strong theme, Laura explained to the team. With Charlotte we are involved in many causes, it was important to us to swim with our heart and the values that we carry on a daily basis. We tried to do a choreography consistent with that, without going to the extreme.”

Committed Olympics
While France sadly counted, on August 2, 2021, 102 women killed by their partners or ex-spouses in 2020, the choreography was timely. The 22-year-old twins, students in an aeronautical engineering school, achieved a committed performance that allowed them to qualify for the final on August 4. They reached 8th place in qualifying with a score of 175.9141 points. The final will take place on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. In the meantime, we can only salute the actions of the athletes, who from refusing to wear a bikini to highlighting societal themes, are fighting day by day against prejudices.
