A young French woman remained stranded in Thailand for more than a month after being arrested for slapping a man she accused of sexually assaulting her 7-year-old son.
An incredible story! Hkaira Preynat, a 30-year-old French woman, has been living a nightmare since September 2. Mom of one little boy of seven years old, this hairdresser took her son to Thailand to have some quality time. Unfortunately, the vacation turned into drama in just a few minutes. After having a coffee in a grocery store located 10 meters from their hotel, Hkaira Preynat realizes that she no longer has the key to her room. His son therefore decides to return to the café to check if the key is not there.
But 1 minute later, the 7-year-old child returns in shock. “He explained to me that the man at the grocery store made him sit on his lap, massaged his back, then touched his penis and forced him to touch his.” Hkaira Preynat rushes to the cafe and discovers the man in question completely naked behind the counter. It is then that she slaps him and “turn over his counter”. Several people witnessed the scene according to the mother. The latter filed a complaint against the grocer but events quickly turned to her disadvantage.

On X, Hkaira Preynat recounts her ordeal which has lasted since September 2. Indeed, the grocer also filed a complaint against her, for “beatings and damage”. Her passport was therefore confiscated and she ended up in police custody. Hkaira Preynat therefore counted on the support of the French embassy in Thailand to get her out of this nightmare, but according to the young woman, “no French-speaking or English-speaking lawyer wanted to assist me.”
Hkaira Preynat and her son therefore stayed stranded for more than a month in Thailand, at their expense. Eventually, the child was able to return to France and return to class, after his father came to pick him up. Traumatized by his sexual assault, the little boy should soon see his mother again.
