a game even bigger than Skyrim and Fallout 76

We know that Starfield will have an astronomical lifespan, but what about the game map? The composer gives us a first element of response.

Pushed back to 2023, Starfield is Bethesda’s first new license in years. The studio has great ambitions for this project which has the heavy task of succeeding two flagship sagas. We remember Todd Howard who proudly announced that the Microsoft exclusivity will extend to more than 100 systems and 1000 planets. Today, we learn that the map of the game would be even more gigantic than any other Bethesda production.

Starfield twice as big as Fallout 76

It’s not the size that matters, but for an open world game like Starfield it doesn’t matter. According to the developers’ speeches, there was no longer any doubt that the so-called “Skyrim in space” would be Bethesda’s most gargantuan game to date. We know that the main quest will be 20% longer than those of already generous games like Fallout 4, which represented 40 hours at the very least. A lifespan that should clearly be extended for budding explorers.

According to game composer Inon Zur, Starfield will be twice the size of Fallout 76 and therefore eight times the size of Skyrim. Enough to guarantee long hours to get lost in the different planets. The interested party also promises a main story that is more gripping than ever, with an emphasis on philosophical reflections and freedom of action. To discover all the expanses that Starfield will offer, it will nevertheless be necessary to wait until 2023.
