A hacker France Inter hacker in the middle of election night to spread an anti-system message

Last night, in the middle of election night, France Inter was the victim of a hack. Throughout eastern Paris and for more than an hour, the radio broadcast without being able to do anything about it an anti-system speech denouncing the failings of politicians. It was not until 10:20 p.m., well after the announcement of the results, that things returned to normal.

While a large part of the French had their eyes glued to their television or smartphone screens last night, many still relied on their radio to discover the results of the first round of the presidential elections. This is how many of them were surprised to listen a pirate showbroadcast in a loop for more than an hour on France Inter.

“A speech of a few minutes directed against politicians, technocrats or even journalists”, as Le Monde defines it, has made itself heard throughout the 20th district of Paris from 9:27 p.m. Questioned by AFP, France Inter explains that the hacking was discovered thanks to a tweet from a listener. An hour later, around 10:20 p.m., the broadcast is interrupted to resume the usual program.

“We are doing everything to understand what happened and prevent it from happening again”, commented on Twitter Laurence Bloch, boss of France Inter. While the radio assures that it was not able to identify the content of the program broadcast without its authorization, another listener by the name of Antoine Chao managed to record it with your smartphonebefore posting it this morning on his Soundcloud account.

You can hear it a metallic male voice, accompanied by dark and heavy music, arguing that the media and journalists are at the boot of candidates and other such accusations, for approximately 15 minutes before the loop repeats itself. The speech is intercut with audio clips from reports. If you want to listen for yourself, the link is below.
