A happy man: the unexpected revelation of Catherine Frot in the first teaser of the film

Catherine Frot wants to assume “her deep desires” in the first teaser of this comedy which promises to be… irreverent. She shares the bill there with Fabrice Luchini. A Happy Man hits theaters on February 15, 2023.

While Jean, a very conservative mayor of a small town in the North, is campaigning for his re-election, Edith, his wife of forty years, gives him news that she can no longer keep quiet… In the depths of her being , she is – and always has been – a man. Jean first thinks of a joke but quickly realizes that Edith is serious and determined to see her transition through to the end. He then understands that his couple, but also his electoral campaign, risk being really turned upside down…

This is the starting point of A Happy Man, a new comedy by Tristan Séguéla, bringing together Fabrice Luchini and Catherine Frot in the main roles, surrounded in particular by Philippe Katerine, Artus, Paul Mirabel, Agnès Hurstel and Camille le Gall.

Previously, Tristan Séguéla directed 16 years or almost (2013), Catch-up (2017) and Doctor? (2019). He is currently working on the Netflix series, Wonderman, dedicated to Bernard Tapie. The comedy A Happy Man is co-written by Guy Laurent (co-screenwriter of the franchise What have we done to God) and Isabelle Lazard (co-screenwriter of If we sang and An intimate conviction).

A Happy Man will be released in cinemas on February 15 and will be presented in preview and in competition at the Alpe d’Huez Comedy Festival, which will be held from January 16 to 22, 2023.
