  • Hercule Poirot doesn’t look for the crimes, they just happen right under his nose.
  • This is also what happens in the current Agatha Christie adaptation “A Haunting in Venice”.
  • You can stream the atmospheric crime thriller on Disney+ from the end of November 2023 – or now!

Halloween may be over, but autumn still continues and with it the long, dark nights, which are perfect for an exciting, spooky atmosphere. “A Haunting in Venice” couldn’t have come out at a better time.

Although Kenneth Branagh’s third Hercule Poirot crime novel, after “Murder on the Orient Express” and “Death on the Nile”, is once again a classic whodunit story, the dark shots of Venice still give the event an eerie touch.

“A Haunting in Venice” opened in cinemas in Germany on September 14, 2023, and you can now also buy the film digitally on Amazon or iTunes. But it’s even easier to watch the Agatha Christie adaptation streaming now!

On to Disney+!

“A Haunting in Venice” is published by 20th Century Studios – and therefore by Disney. It was clear from the start that the film would end up on Disney+ in Germany. There is now already a confirmed date: Hercule Poirot will investigate again on Disney’s streaming service on November 22, 2023.

In other countries, such as Canada, Disney+ subscribers have better luck, where “A Hauting in Venice” was released on the streaming service on October 31, 2023, i.e. on Halloween. Fortunately, we in Germany can also benefit from this publication!

With a regular Disney+ subscription and a VPN service like CyberGhost, you can easily bypass Disney+ country restrictions and access the program from Canada. You can already stream “A Haunting in Venice” on Disney+ – either in English or even with a German soundtrack!

By the way, another Poirot film by and with Kenneth Branagh has not yet been confirmed, but is certainly possible. In an interview with Total Film, producer James Prichard said: “If [Kenneth Branagh] want to do more and [Drehbuchautor Michael Green] If you want to write more, then we will definitely do another sequel because there is still a lot of material so we won’t run out of inspiration.”
