a highly anticipated feature confirmed

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero seems to mark the return in great form of Akira Toriyama’s work in a fighting game, notably with the confirmed return of a highly anticipated feature.

We mentioned it in our preview of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, and it was confirmed in a video presentation of the different modes of the game coming on October 8, 2024 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. And the program appears to be quite busy.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero pleases fans

In the presentation of approximately 7 minutes relating to the game modes of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, one of them particularly stood out: local split-screen multiplayer. Such a feature has long been conspicuous by its painful absence in a Dragon Ball fighting game and is thus making its comeback. However, it will not concern all game modes and will be limited to a single stage: the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Still, his presence pleases fans, as well as those who appreciate the friendly side of a fighting game alongside his friends. It is also not impossible that it will be deployed on other stages or game modes via a later update.

The other game modes, let’s talk about them. The most classic will be the one called “Episodic Combat”. It will be a question of choosing from eight characters in a gargantuan roster and reliving key moments in their history, both in Dragon Ball Z and Super. A classic story mode, but which covers the largest part of Akira Toriyama’s work to date.

The last game mode presented finally allows everyone to create personalized battles. Fans will be able to create, play and share their own scenarios with the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero community. Krillin who saves Goku from Freeza, Vegeta who becomes Super Saiyan before Goku, among many other possibilities, all scenarios are permitted. The title thus seems to have all the arguments to seduce. See you on October 8 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series to find out.
