a highly anticipated feature is finally arriving, it will change everything

Starfield will soon get a new update which will add a feature highly anticipated by the community. But be careful, not everyone is affected.

Starfield is closely monitored by Bethesda. The studio’s new game may have been released, but it can still be refined, like many of its peers. So, many updates have been released, bringing various adjustments to the experience. And in fact, a new update should arrive shortly. It will bring something that was eagerly awaited by the community, even if not all players will be able to enjoy it.

Starfield brings DLSS

The RPG had no trouble seducing us. In our columns, we gave this space epic the maximum score of 10/10. But if the journey is memorable and unforgettable, that doesn’t mean that Starfield is perfect, nothing and no one can be. On a technical level in particular, as noted in our test, there is still room for maneuver, and Bethesda is watching closely. Firstly, the studio decided to meet the expectations of players, and as a result, it will soon add a highly anticipated feature: support for DLSS.

Until now, only FSR 2.0 was present in Starfield, due to its association with AMD. DLSS was still desired by some fans who suffered from its absence. The studio fortunately made an intervention on X (formerly Twitter) to alleviate their concerns. The good news then fell: next week, a new patch will be deployed on Steam Beta, and it will include the addition of NVIDIA’s DLSS 3.5 with frame generation, the brand’s latest technologies. It will then arrive on the standard versions of the game, while Bethesda receives feedback from the community. As a reminder, DLSS was already available unofficially thanks to a mod.

Another big novelty approaching

Some clarifications should be made following this speech from the studio. First of all, you should know that DLSS will only be available on Starfield for NVIDIA PC users. There may be some disappointed, but luckily there’s some good news in store for console gamers. Indeed, the update will include support for HDR, as well as other improvements which will be described later. In addition, Bethesda has talked about a future addition that will undoubtedly please.

For good reason, support for AMD FSR 3 will indeed be included in a new patch. However, it’s not for now. The studio hasn’t mentioned a specific release date, but we imagine it must take time. In the meantime, you’ll have to watch the Beta section of Steam next week, as Starfield will make its debut there. This will be the time to see if DLSS 3.5 is correctly supported by the title. If technical problems persist, the firm will take care of them as quickly as possible before its official release.
