Are you struggling with the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the World Tree? Here is some valuable help, but it is not available to all the brave Shardless.
Shadow of the World Tree, the one and only expansion for Elden Ring, is a “also a masterpiece” according to my dear colleague KiKiToes. An ultra generous DLC that absolutely does not skimp on content, gameplay innovations or even difficulty. The game is more demanding than ever, which has earned it criticism from PC players. Despite this, the title is a hit and has already sold more than 5 million copies in just three days. If you have ever started this new chapter and are struggling to progress, there is a solution.
A Boost for Elden Ring The Shadow of the World Tree
The difficulty and the demands are still there in Elden Ring Shadow of the World Tree. Right from the start, and even if you have returned the main game, you will quickly be put back in your place. Obviously, you have ways to make things a little easier for yourself, but nothing beats the help of a teammate. You can still summon companions to support you, but with the restrictions that we already know. For example, if a player joins you and dies, the session ends. After bosses are defeated, allies return to their own world. But all this can be bypassed with the PC mod “Seamless co-op” by LukeYui.
This mod is not new, but it had stopped working when the Elden Ring DLC arrived. The user made the necessary changes and everything is back to normal. LukeYui’s customization of co-op multiplayer is not limited to these two removed restrictions. It offers a much smoother experience, which moves away from the initial proposal of Elden Ring multiplayer. Here, the fog walls that border the multiplayer area are no longer present. All players can use the Torrent mount during a joint session. The landmarks on the map are synchronized for everyone in the same way, in order to improve navigation when you are in a group. And that’s not all.
Even more details on the Seamless co-op mod
Here’s what the Seamless co-op mod for Elden Ring Shadow of the World Tree also brings:
- NPC dialogues and talk events are synchronized
- When a player goes to a grace site to rest, the world state is reset equally for everyone in the group.
- Online progress carries over into each player’s world
- Possibility to play in co-op with 5 players
- Overhaul of the P2P connection system, which uses Steam’s new network API
