This week’s free game from the Epic Games Store is one of the indie scene’s biggest classics, Cave Story+, a somewhat dusted-off take on Cave Story, one of the first indie games on PC. Released for free in 2004 on PC only, Cave Story quickly established itself as one of the best games of the moment. It is also considered a real classic for many players, a real nugget and one of the pioneers of the independent genre. Building on its success, the game will be entitled to a Wii version some time later and will eventually take root everywhere, even on Switch with precisely a paid and dusted version, Cave Story +.
