a highly requested feature arrives 10 years later

Clearly, it’s time to update old games, and after Skyrim, it’s Destiny 2’s turn to benefit from a highly anticipated new addition. This is what we know.

Destiny 2 fans can finally celebrate a highly anticipated update announced by Bungie, which not only brings an increase in the Glimmer cap (in-game money) and additional content for the Season of Wishes, but also, and above all, a major novelty. This is pretty remarkable when you think that the game is now 10 years old. As it turns out, the FPS has had a great longevity.

Destiny 2, 7 years later

Finally ! Bungie now offers the ability to customize the appearance of Guardians. This feature, awaited for a decade (since the release of Destiny 1), is coming and is completely free. According to the latest information from Bungie, players will have the freedom to modify the appearance of their character in Destiny 2 at the trait level. So if you miss your character’s style created years ago or the facial markings you chose on a whim, you’ll soon be able to change them. The update, which will be available in March before The Final Shape launches, will allow changing various aspects of the character, such as body type, face, hairstyle, head and markings, directly from the screen character selection. Bungie emphasizes that this feature will be accessible at no cost and with no limit on the number of modifications.

However, it is important to note that the character’s origin will remain unchanged. Thus, initial choices regarding the character’s race, such as being human, will remain fixed. Alongside this new feature, Bungie also plans to reset the Synthweave bounty cap with the launch of this feature. For more details on the long-awaited customization menu and other new features announced by Bungie, including the Glimmer capacity expansion and new Season of Wishing content, players can refer to Bungie’s latest post, This Week in Destiny.

What is certain in any case is that the new functionality is very well received by everyone and is a pleasure to see. Especially after 7 years of development of Destiny 2. 10 if we count Destiny 1, where this possibility was already loudly requested by many players on the forums.
