The price of games has increased and Ubisoft has crossed the red line
After a first appearance a few months ago, Star Wars Outlaws had not been officially talked about again until the reveal of a brand new trailer recently. Highly anticipated, the fans of course devoured it. Ubisoft took the opportunity to open pre-orders for its game in all stores and there… there’s tragedy. We know that games have increased significantly. We have gone from €70 to €80 since the arrival of the new generation of PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. If some actors have not yet taken the plunge, others have happily launched into it. Some people try to justify such prices almost every time. But no matter what they say, it’s difficult to make the players swallow the pill. Especially since as a bonus, we often find ourselves with games that need to be patched in our hands. Enough to make a few teeth cringe.
For a while now, almost since the start of this price increase, Ubisoft has been selling its games at full price whether on PC via its platform or Steam, or on console where it is always more expensive as a general rule. . Star Wars Outlaws more expensive than a ship, players are furious
The standard edition is priced between €69.99 (PC) and €79.99 (Consoles). The Gold version, accompanied by some bonuses, can be exchanged for €109.99 on PC and €119.99 on consoles., while the Ultimate edition, including several virtual bonuses as well as a season pass giving access to future DLC displays an exorbitant price of €129.99 on PC and €139.99 on consoles. On console, games at €80 are multiplying and the PC is not left out since the big releases are now around €60-70 at launch.
On Steam for example, Baldur’s Gate 3, Horizon Forbidden West are listed at €59.90, Dragon’s Dogma 2 at €64.90 while Microsoft Flight Simulator or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 are part of the games at €69.90. It is far from the haven of peace which could boast of having prices really cheaper than on console. However, on PC, the rest of the prices, services and content have never really changed.
