a huge disappointment and a new trailer

Today, BioWare and fans are celebrating the Dragon Age license. Like every year, the editor returns with a little treat, but it has a bitter taste.

December 4 is a special day for Dragon Age fans. For a few years now, BioWare has taken advantage of what is considered THE day celebrating the license to distil some information on the next episode. For this 2023 edition, the publisher is going a little far by revealing a new trailer for Dragon Age 4 Dreadwolf and meeting the community.

A new teaser for Dragon Age 4

Happy Dragon Age everyone. On December 4, the gaming community is celebrating the saga with a whole host of creations and fanart. Like every year, BioWare also takes part in the festivities by giving a little treat. For this 2023 edition, the publisher is once again giving fans a great gift with a new Dragon Age 4 video. Unfortunately, it is also accompanied by disappointment. The good news first: Dreadwolf is back with a little trailer.

Don’t expect too much, it just shows some environments from the various corners of Thedas. Players will therefore travel to Antiva and its maze of canals, will be able to contemplate the turquoise seas of the Riveïn and will explore the desolate, but no less magnificent, lands of the Anderfels. This teaser also reconfirms a few factions like the Shadow Guards and the Ravens, Antiva’s troupe of assassins.

Real images in 2024

Now the bad news: we will have to wait a long time before we really discover the game. Dragon Age 4 will not be at the Game Awards 2023. No, BioWare plans to reveal the game in the summer of 2024, which suggests a later release than many expected. At this stage, DA Dreadwolf should be launched at best by the end of 2024, if not the beginning of 2025. We will have to be satisfied with this small overview of the environments for the moment.

The fans, however, do not hide their disappointment, they who were hoping for real in-game images or even just a little information after all this time. Once again we will have to be patient. It is true that on the story side, we simply know that the one who once called himself Fen’Harel, the Implacable Wolf, will be at the heart of the intrigue. The ancient Elven God of Lies will continue his quest to destroy the Veil that divides the world and the evil magic of the Fade.
