It’s the big day for this big new feature in Resident Evil 4 Remake, which fans have been eagerly awaiting. A free update also adds content to the base game for everyone.
Released on March 24, 2023, Resident Evil 4 Remake was a big success for Capcom. With more than 5 million copies sold, it is one of the fastest-selling games in the license. A deserved success for a very careful remake which was very well received by the press and the players. But as good as it was, something was missing: the whole bonus part with Ada Wong. After a few months of waiting, this small temporary error has just been corrected.
Resident Evil 4 Remake welcomes a huge new feature
Since midnight, players can rediscover Resident Evil 4 Remake from another angle. That of the legendary Ada Wong with the Separate Ways DLC. Additional content which relates the events of the game, but from the side of the young woman. If you have completed the main adventure, you know that the heroine and Leon S Kennedy keep crossing paths throughout Resident Evil 4 Remake. This time, you will not only see what happens to Ada, but also take control of her.
“In Separate Ways, Ada Wong travels to a remote, rural region of Europe to infiltrate a village controlled by the religious group known as Los Iluminados. Under the orders of Albert Wesker, Ada is tasked with obtaining the group’s best-protected secret: a mysterious material known as Amber.. A new perspective on the story of Resident Evil 4 Remake is offered to you and this is not the only attraction of this new version. Now Ada has a grappling hook gun to swing across chasms, reach heights, and fight enemies. Separate Ways is available now for €9.99 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
A free update in addition to Ada Wong’s DLC
Ada Wong is playable in the paid DLC “Another Way”, but also in the Mercenaries mode alongside Albert Wesker. A free patch already available. After that, Resident Evil 4 Remake will return later this year in an unrecognizable version on PlayStation VR 2. The third-person point of view will be abandoned in favor of a first-person view. Like Resident Evil Village VR, virtual reality should reinvent RE4 Remake and offer an immersion impossible without this technology.
We will logically be able to manage our flashlight independently of the gun, counter attacks by mimicking the action for an anthology fight against Krauser, manipulate elements of the decor and literally undergo attacks from infected dogs and the lake monster. Enough to scare away the most sensitive. Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released this winter on PSVR 2.
