As expected, EA FC 24 will deploy its fifth update, with big changes that should please players. Once again, this is a massive patch.
EA Sports FC 24 brought together football fans in a game that did not necessarily meet the expectations of the majority. The title was the victim of numerous mockery from Internet users. For good reason, the modeling of the players on the cover and in the first trailer left something to be desired. Unfortunately, things didn’t get better upon release, as there were a lot of bugs. EA is therefore working to make them disappear, and to do this, it has deployed a substantial new patch.
EA FC 24 fixes big annoying bugs
The last time the soccer game got an update was a little over a month ago. The fourth update brought good news. On the menu, we found fixes concerning gameplay, audio, visuals and even clubs. The problem is that a catastrophic bug crept into EA FC 24 at that time. Its nickname: “the calf dribble”. To activate it, you had to use a signature ability, the “Trickster+” style of play, which allows you to make a nice play on the field while stealing the ball from your opponent. But bad luck, at the end of the movement, the ball stuck to the player’s calf or even in his hands.
The studio quickly reacted by temporarily removing the mechanics which made it easy to score goals. This shows you the type of setbacks that EA FC 24 may have experienced, and the reasons behind the arrival of the big patches. As for the new update, it will also fix big problems that impacted the experience. We think in particular of the one where we could, without wanting to, recover the ball after an animation of loss of balance on a tackle. Or the one that allowed athletes entering the field to temporarily pass through the bodies of others. Overall, gameplay will be less subject to annoying bugs, and that’s great news for owners of the game.

Ultimate Team
- Fixed stability issues when accessing the store via an Evolutions screen.
- In some specific scenarios, elements j. during Evolution may have unintentionally lost certain Play Styles.
- Elements j. Impacted players should now have the correct Play Styles.
- Fixed a stability issue that could occur when trying to start a match with certain j items. Evolution in the team.
Gameplay
- Slightly reduced speed of low passes made at extreme angles.
- Reduced the potential accuracy of crosses performed by athletes with the Worked Pass and Worked Pass+ Playing Styles.
- Improved goalkeeper reactions to shots on target towards the near post.
- In some cases, athletes controlled by you could move into the ball’s path when you didn’t ask them to.
- Fixed some cases where athletes with the ball would unintentionally retrieve it after a loss of balance animation on a tackle.
- Contextual spin passes could be made by athletes who did not have the Incisive Pass, Incisive Pass+, Outside Foot Pass, and Outside Foot Pass+ Playstyles.
- In some cases, a requested cross could result in the athlete with the ball doing a leg sweep over the ball rather than performing a cross with the foot closest to the sideline.
- In some cases, the goalkeepers did not use the desired power on ball deflections.
- A first-intent pass may have been accidentally requested when activating athlete lock.
- After a red card received by a goalkeeper, the Team Management screen could remain frozen.
- In certain situations, run-up animations on set pieces were not always correctly launched.
- Athletes returning to play from off the field could sometimes pass through other athletes.
EA FC 24 Career Mode
- In some cases, athletes did not recover their stamina after international matches during managerial careers.
- In Player Career, the Player widget was accidentally displayed on some tutorial screens.
- In a playing career, duplicate or similar goals could occur at the same time accidentally.
- Fixed various stability issues that may have occurred.
EA FC 24 Clubs
- Fixed a stability issue that could occur when completing a technical game.
Volta Football
- During the Foot Golf arcade game, the timer was not displayed correctly.
General, audio and video
- Updated some UI elements, jerseys, celebrations, sounds, broadcast packs, balloons, badges, reactions and billboards.
- Fixed various stability issues that may have occurred.
