A huge problem of the game finally solved!

Once is not custom, a big problem on Cyberpunk 2077 has just been solved. Great news for PC gamers. We will explain everything to you.

Shortly after the release of Cyberpunk 2077, Reddit users as well as other gamers may have noticed that AMD Ryzen CPUs aren’t getting very good performance in-game. Intel processors do not have this problem. You can also find the original Reddit post from 2020 here. On December 19, 2020, CD Projekt Red released the Hotfix 1.05 update, which should fix this bug which really didn’t. To reverse the trend, the studio published another patch on this subject in June 2023, which obviously was not enough either. So what to do?

Cyberpunk 2077: a performance problem finally solved?

With the patches, only CPUs with 4 and 6 cores were explicitly “fixed”, while 8, 12 and 16 cores still have issues. Why is this a concern? Because it still causes big optimization flaws for many users who own Ryzen CPUs. But according to research from the German site PC Games Hardware, the whole thing can be solved”by making a small modification to the game’s executable file”. Far from trivial, this small change can still increase your fps by up to 40% as well as your performance in game. It would therefore be a shame to deprive yourself of it and wait for an official patch. We also learn in particular that the site is in talks with the developers of the game to try to help resolve this thorny issue. A full guide is available in the video below. You must download the saved game, and the modified runtime file in the ATTACHED link for this to work. This must weigh a total of 19.2 MB.

Cyberpunk 2077, what’s next?

The extension of Cyberpunk 2077 which bears the name of Phantom Liberty should be released this year and it will have the right to an exclusive presentation in France on July 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the Japan Expo in the presence of Nicolas Cardahi (Cinematic Designer of the game). For the rest, a sequel is also in preparation for the 2020 game, normally with development under Unreal Engine 5. This is the only thing we know for the moment and everything else can only be pure hypotheses.

Will you attempt to fix the Cyberpunk 2077 issue with the PC Games Hardware patch?
