a huge PS5 game playable for free, but…

New month, new trial for PS Plus Premium members. Sony has just added a new demo of a huge card of the year. However, she makes a lot of talk about her because of a quack.

The PlayStation Plus Essential games of the month are now available. The new trio is far from unanimous with the mass of subscribers, marble the undeniable qualities of NBA 2K23 and Jurassic World Evolution 2. Meanwhile, those who have subscribed to PS Plus Premium can take advantage of an added benefit. A new free trial is available, but if it is indeed one of the colossal big hits of this year, the demo looks pale.

A Hogwarts Legacy demo for PS Plus Premium subscribers

Free demos follow one another for PS Plus Premium subscribers. This is one of the advantages exclusive to its highest formula: the possibility of taking advantage of more generous free trials than the usual demos. Well, that’s in general. Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarok, The Last of Us Part 1 or even A Plage Tale Requiem are all games that can be tested for an hour or more. Sony regularly expands the catalog of free trials with one or more monthly additions and this is Hogwarts Legacy which will open the ball in June 2023. An excellent initiative for PlayStation Plus Premium members, who will then be able to revel in the atmosphere of Hogwarts and discover the gameplay mechanics. Well, that’s what many thought when they launched the free trial.

The PS Plus Premium demo is indeed less generous than usual. Only 45 minutes of gameplay are available with Hogwarts Legacy. Sony and Warner Bros. do not seem to have taken into account a major problem. With less than an hour of play on the clock, this test is not long enough to really get an idea of this monstrous success production. And it’s all the more restrictive with Hogwarts Legacy as its introductory sequence is particularly long.

As a result, many PS Plus Premium subscribers expressed their frustration that they couldn’t make it to Hogwarts before the countdown sounded. Only positive point, if they were to buy the game, their progress will be transferred to the final version and they will not have to relive this long time. It’s still quite unfortunate that such a large PlayStation Plus free trial doesn’t give players a real insight into the gameplay and its atmosphere. For the most curious, go to the PS Store page to launch the demo.
