a huge revelation about a well-kept secret

It was inevitable that this day would come: a key character from the Star Wars saga is officially returning to the Disney+ series, Ahsoka. Fans will be delighted.

We told you about it recently when it was still rumored, but it’s now confirmed. An iconic Star Wars character (to say the least) returns, and he’ll show up in one way or another in the highly anticipated Ahsoka series. It promises ! A word of warning though: this information may contain spoilers.

Star Wars Ahsoka is going to hit hard

According to the latest teaser for the Ahsoka series, Disney has made Anakin Skywalker’s presence official. No matter how it looks on screen, it has new lines of dialogue in this project. Exciting news for fans, although some critics insist that its interpreter, Hayden Christensen, is not up to the task. Either way, her appearance in Ahsoka makes perfect sense given the history between the two characters. After the series on Obi-Wan, we will be entitled to a double dose of nostalgia

Indeed, Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano have a deep and complex relationship that dates back to the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and its sequel, Star Wars Rebels. When Ahsoka is introduced in The Clone Wars, she is referred to as Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan. Despite a tense beginning, their relationship evolves into a strong and sincere friendship. This complicity is tested when Ahsoka is wrongfully accused by the Jedi Council, deeply upsetting Anakin. Their separation, following Ahsoka’s choice to leave the Jedi Order, marks a tragic turning point in Anakin’s trajectory to the dark side. In Star Wars Rebels, Ahsoka discovers the dark fate of Anakin and a poignant confrontation ensues. Fans still gasp at the memory of this epic duel.

A series that foreshadows only good

The series will focus on the adventures of Ahsoka Tano, former Padawan of Anakin turned Jedi, in her quest to find Grand Admiral Thrawn. For those less familiar with this character, Thrawn is one of the Expanded Universe’s standout antagonists. He is an outstanding Imperial military strategist, as well as one of the last hopes of the Empire to restore its authority. Despite his regime’s xenophobic policies, the Emperor particularly liked Thrawn, who is not human, but belongs to the alien race of Chiss. This should be an antagonist of choice, especially for those who enjoy seeing the Empire take over. For the record, the character is played by Lars Mikkelsen, brother of Mads Mikkelsen. It was he who had already provided the dubbing of the famous antagonist in the Star Wars Rebels series. The loop is now closed. Star Wars: Ahsoka is still scheduled for August 23, 2023 on Disney+.
