The dynamic universe of Foamstars, developed by Square Enix, is preparing to welcome its third season entitled Mysterious Swing from April 12. This new season introduces a plethora of new content that promises to renew the gaming experience for aficionados of this franchise. Perfect to give a boost to the game offered in PlayStation Plus some time ago last February.
This PlayStation Plus game is getting bigger
At the heart of these new features is the arrival of a playable character, Chloe Noir, who stands out for her skillful use of a charged shotgun and her companion, Ciel. This unique combination allows Chloe to effectively track and eliminate weakened opponents. Players will be able to unlock Chloe Noir for free by reaching level 31 of the Season Pass while the Premium Pass option will allow immediate access.
In addition to this new character, the Mysterious Swing season revisits the gem system by introducing Star Gems and adding a fourth slot for Skill Gems. These offer various improvements to Foamstars’ Superstar skills and abilities, thus enriching game strategies. To obtain them, players will need to collect specific Energy Stones.

The season also welcomes two new game modes that promise to test players’ skills in extreme settings. On the one hand, the All Chloe Party invites players to compete exclusively with Chloe Noir, highlighting the unique abilities of this character. On the other hand, the Bubbly Penguin focuses on Penny Gwyn, another Foamstar, whose only Superstar skills and abilities will be usable, providing a particular challenge.
Players will also be able to engage in ranked modes, with a period dedicated to teams in Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe from April 12 to 19, followed by a phase for solo players in Ranked Party Lonestar from April 19 to May 16, adding a competitive dimension to the experience. Available on PS4 and PS5, Foamstars continues to establish itself as a benchmark in the field of strategy and action games.
