The second DLC of FF16, The Rising Tide, is coming to PS5 soon with tons of new features. A large patch is planned with it, but it will not completely resolve one of the defects reported.

During an interview with MMORPG, Takeo Kujiraoka, director of The Rising Tide DLC, and FF16 producer Naoki Yoshida spoke about what to expect from this new content. The developers have still worked on it, it’s getting better, but it won’t be 60fps in all circumstances. “About Performance mode, we have been working on it, but the current problem is that the framerate drops when you are in a large area with a lot of objects on the screen. We’ve improved things a bit, but we still can’t promise stable 60fps in these situations.” Naoki Yoshida said.

60fps on PS5 Performance mode thanks to the PC?

It will disappoint, but the producer does not admit defeat and the framerate could become more stable when the PC version of FF16 is released. “As you know, we are currently developing the PC version of Final Fantasy 16. And we are updating the game code to make things better.
