A lack of perspective in Warzone? Some claim it

Warzone stats expert Anthony Zachman aka ‘TrueGameData’ begs devs to give weapons more recoil in battle royale

Warzone is finally getting some new content as Season 3 of the battle royale draws to a close. Warzone Pacific Season 4 appears to be bringing changes after a rather stagnant meta throughout Season 3.

Although the NZ-41 has taken the lead recently, the Season has been dominated by easy-to-control recoil weapons like the STG44, BAR, and LMG Type 11.

It looks like Warzone stats expert TrueGameData has had enough of this trend and is calling on the devs to give weapons more recoil.

Vanguard weapons have dominated Warzone for quite a while now.

More recoil for weapons in Warzone

On June 20, 2022, TrueGameData posted a tweet regarding weapon recoil in Warzone Pacific, pleading with the developers to “give back to guns”.

The Warzone Season 3 meta was dominated by weapons with the potential to destroy enemies at long ranges with very low recoil and high damage. These weapons include the STG44 and NZ-41, which were among the most popular weapons of the Season.

TrueGameData says it is “tired of being killed at 150m without opponents missing a single shot”.

Clearly, the Warzone stats expert believes that weapons should have more recoil and it should be harder for players to land all their shots when shooting at players from a distance.

It looks like they’re not the only ones to think so, as players in the comments also share similar opinions. A Twitter user says: “That’s pretty much the reason I quit playing WZ, ARs and LMGs outperforming all other ranged guns, it’s so boring.”

“That’s why the recent nerf to snipers is quite frustrating, because now there’s no real mid-range and long-range competition.”

Hopefully Season 4 will address these issues, because it’s such a shame how limited the Warzone meta has become.
