Activities. Under the direction of Michaël Fribourg, Chargeurs has completely reinvented itself. The company is now involved in two major activities with technology and luxury. The first division includes plastic films, interlining and sanitary products. The second corresponds to fitting out museums, wool and high-end niche products… After buying the British company Swaine, which operates in leather goods, umbrellas and hats, Chargeurs intends to strengthen this scope by carrying out new purchases.
Premium. All of these businesses have a premium positioning, their cyclicality is low, they require controlled investments, customers are solvent… Chargeurs claims a certain agility that allows them to deal with crises. Despite the decline in sales of products linked to Covid, the 2022 vintage ended with activity at +1.3% with an operating result at -6.6%. For the new year, Chargeurs is aiming for sustained growth in sales. But the first quarter ended with a sharp drop in activity at -16.6% with the energy crisis and the erratic economic situation weighing on it.
