Japan Expo 2023 announces its first guest with the return of a legendary Japanese author. A creator who rocked the childhood of millions of people thanks to the series adaptation of his works.

Japan Expo 2023 will be held from July 13 to 16, 2023 in the aisles of the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center. And the organizers have just given at least one good reason to go there.

Tsukasa Hōjō at Japan Expo 2023

If Dragon Ball, DBZ, The Knights of the Zodiac or Olive and Tom are among the programs most often cited by those in their thirties and over, we must not forget the rest. Nicky Larson (City Hunter) and Cat’s Eyes, does that speak to you too? These are two manga written by author Tsukasa Hōjō and have been adapted into anime series. The first having been broadcast as part of Club Dorothée on TF1 at the time, and the other on FR3 under the name of Signed Cat’s Eyes.

The legend Tsukasa Hōjō will make his grand return to us during Japan Expo 2023. On the program: a conference, autograph sessions and “surprise”.

If it is with the cartoons adapted from his two most famous manga, Nicky Larson (City Hunter) and Signé Cat’s Eyes (Cat’s Eye), that the French discover Tsukasa HÔJÔ, it is a much larger work that was soon to be seduce them. From his first short story in 1980, Je suis un Homme!, to today, the mangaka has published numerous one shots and several long series, such as Rash!!, F. Compo and in the 2000s Angel Heart.

We are delighted to once again welcome the mythical author of Cat’s Eyes, City Hunter and Family Compo. This master of manga whose works are still and always relevant will be with us for Japan Expo 2023 as guest of honor.

Conference, signing sessions and other surprises will be there! So, ready to meet Tsukasa HÔJÔ?

Small detail however, it seems that this year again, the signings of Japan Expo 2023 work on the basis of a draw. Everything is explained on the event website.
