With a scenographer father and a costume designer mother for the Strasbourg Opera, Pio Marmai began his career on the stage. He took his first steps in front of the camera in the mini-series Rien dans les pockets alongside Emma de Caunes and appeared for the first time in the cinema in the comedy Didine by Vincent Dietschy in 2008. The same year, Le Premier Jour du rest of your life, which totaled 1.2 million admissions at the French box office, opened the doors of cinema to him and made him known to the general public.
