A low-cost blender at Philips, the Serie 3000 HR2041

In fact, a blender is a rather simple device: a motor, blades, a bowl, a lid. Some manufacturers have of course embroidered around this base to produce, for example, hyper-powerful models that heat food thanks to the extremely high rotation speed of the knife, like the KitchenAid SuperBlender Artisan 5KSB8270. There are also connected blenders (the Magimix Blender Power 5 Connect) or capable of emptying the bowl before mixing the ingredients to extend the shelf life of smoothies; this is the case of the StayFresh HR3752/00.

But with the Serie 3000 HR2041, Philips is going back to basics. The motor of this model develops a power of 450 W, considered sufficient for crushing ice, and it drives a four-blade cutter. The manufacturer did not bother with an overly complicated control panel. The Serie 3000 HR2041 only has one single speed; It is therefore difficult to make it simpler since all you have to do is turn the wheel to the right to start mixing.

The bowl with a rather comfortable volume of 1.9 l is made of plastic, and it does not seem to be removable for easy maintenance. However, the manual indicates that it is possible to put it in the dishwasher to facilitate cleaning. It should be noted that this can be replaced by a nomadic tasting bottle, with a capacity of 0.6 l. So you can take your smoothie with you, just after mixing, without having to transfer it to another container. Simply replace the block of blades that was used for mixing with a suitable lid.

As you can see, the Serie 3000 HR2041 is far from being the most sophisticated model you can find. However, this simplicity makes it possible to obtain this device without breaking the bank. Indeed, it is easily found for 30 €, which could well convince those who avoid equipping themselves with a blender because of the price.
