a major call for witnesses was launched on ongoing investigations

The national gendarmerie is calling for witnesses concerning the serial killer Michel Fourniret and his ex-companion Monique Olivier.

"Several legal inquiries of interest to Michel Fourniret and Monique Olivier (his ex-wife) are in progress. In this context, if you have seen or think you have seen Mr. Fourniret and Ms. Olivier (together or separately) and that you are able to locate the place and the period, please contact the departments concerned at the following email address or by post to the dedicated post office box ". It is in these terms that the national gendarmerie shared on Thursday November 12 a vast call for witnesses.

New information is thus awaited around the serial killer Michel Fourniret and his ex-wife Monique Olivier. Because the man, aged 78, who ended up confessing in March his responsibility in the investigation Estelle Mouzin, a 9-year-old girl who disappeared in 2003, would be involved in other cases. It is therefore advisable for people who have seen the couple or think they have seen them, "together or separately", and who are "able to locate the place and the period" to deliver their testimonials via an email address ([email protected]) or by mail (INFOS-FOURNIRET BP 40000 95026 CERGY PONTOISE CEDEX). In agreement with the Parisian examining magistrate, Sabine KhĂ©ris in charge of these investigations, this call for witnesses is "one more tool to try to reconstruct their life course, as we did with Nordahl Lelandais", explained to the France-Presse agency the gendarmerie, information relayed by RTL. "Any information, however trivial, is likely to advance the investigation and help the families of the victims!", adds the call for witnesses.

Estelle Mouzin's body still untraceable

At the end of October, a lot of research took place in one of Michel Fourniret's former properties. Declared guilty in 2008 of the murders of seven young women or adolescent girls, he had deemed "relevant" that the body of the little girl could be in one of his houses, without specifying the location. At present, searches have not yielded anything. The same month, the gendarmerie announced the creation within it of a "cold case division" (DCC) which would deal with "extraordinary complex criminal cases", "cases presenting a serial character", as here with the case of Michel Fourniret.
