In Cenon in Gironde, a Christmas meal celebrated with the family gave way to a dispute which erupted into a confrontation. A man was stabbed by his sister-in-law.

On the night of December 24 to 25, a violent altercation took place within a family celebrating Christmas in a residence in the town of Cenon, close to Bordeaux in Gironde. At around 2:50 a.m. on Christmas Eve, the police and firefighters intervened to rescue a 39-year-old man having dinner with his in-laws. Wounded in the leg, this one would have been stabbed seven times by his partner’s sisteraccording to the first information revealed by South West. During the care of the victim, his vital prognosis would have been engaged, but after his arrival in the emergency room, he got away with ten days of total incapacity for work.
At the origin of the aggression, “a family dispute that arose during the Christmas Eve meal”, initially revealed the daily life. A dispute broke out over of the girlfriend’s love life of the victim. The whole family would have joined in the debate to question the choice of his companions, including the current one, attending the scene, reports France Blue. They would have come to blows from the moment the 39-year-old gave a punch in the face of his girlfriend’s father. One of his partner’s sisters then allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the leg.

Circumstances to be clarified
On Christmas Day, the victim could not be heard due to prescribed sedatives. His hearing was therefore postponed to the following day. After the incident, four people, two men and two women close to the victim, aged 21 to 49, were arrested and placed in police custody, according to Sud-Ouest. Sunday and Monday, several family members were heard. According to information from France Bleu, the investigation aims to understand the circumstances that led to this altercation during the evening as well as any previous facts that could explain this scene.
