A Million Little Things renewed for a season 5 which could be the last

Soon the time of farewell for the band of friends of “A Million Little Things”? Broadcast in France on Salto, the series has been renewed for a fifth season by the American channel ABC. But this new salvo could well be the last.

Good news for fans of A Million Little Things: the series in the vein of This Is Us, which is available in France on Salto, was renewed this weekend for a season 5 by the American channel ABC.

The website Deadline reports, however, that this fifth batch could be the last. This is explained in particular by the fact that the series created by DJ Nash has never been a huge success for ABC.

Since the start of its fourth season, A Million Little Things has attracted an average of 4.1 million viewers on ABC, for a rate of 0.7 among 18-49 year olds. This allows the series to rank only sixth in audiences out of the eight dramas broadcast by the channel this year.

Fortunately, the series worn in particular by David Giuntoli, Romany Malco, Allison Miller, and Christina Moses can count on excellent performances in replay with an increase of 133% on D+7, which surely weighed in the balance and pushed the chain to offer him a fifth – and ultimate? – season which will arrive on the air at the start of the school year.

And which should allow the creative team to offer a real end to the adventures of Eddie, Rome, Maggie, Regina, Gary, and Katherine in the event of a confirmed stoppage since season 4 will end on May 18 besides -Atlantic on a big cliffhanger that would obviously have frustrated viewers if canceled.

Big Sky and The Favorite Years also renewed

ABC also renewed The Conners for season 5, Home Economics and Big Sky for season 3, and Les Années coup de coeur for season 2.

In France, the reboot of the Favorite Years and Big Sky, which will welcome Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) as a regular next season, are both available on the Disney + platform.

ABC also ordered three new series on Friday that will join its 2022-2023 schedule: The Rookie: Feds, which is none other than a spin-off of The Rookie led by Niecy Nash, the comedy Not Dead Yet, with Gina Rodriguez ( Jane The Virgin), and the drama Alaska, worn by Hilary Swank.

New additions to the previously mentioned series and to Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, Good Doctor, The Goldbergs, and Abbott Elementary, which had already been renewed by ABC in recent weeks.
