After struggling to live for two days, the child died of a brain hematoma at the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital in Val-de-Marne. "The autopsy revealed very significant lesions attesting to extreme shaking leading to death, and therefore the voluntary nature of the violence", confides a source familiar with the matter to 78 Actu.

After being questioned for the first time by the police, the parents and the childminder are summoned again on January 14, 2021. The 32-year-old man then confesses to having shaken the child. “He admitted to seeing the crying little one suddenly grabbed to give him her meal, which she had initially refused, just before falling into a state of unconsciousness.”

After asking for his detention following his indictment. He was reportedly finally released under judicial supervision.
