A future American mother paid the price on July 31! 31-year-old Angela Mercer was quietly waiting for Pink’s concert to start when labor began! The young mother told Today how her delivery went when she was only 7 months pregnant. And especially the beautiful first name she chose to give to her little boy who was born during Pink’s concert…

Labor broke out just as the concert was about to begin

All this took place on July 31 in Boston in Fenway Park. The mother-to-be says that after settling in her place, she felt strong contractions and decided to contact her midwife to reassure herself. But unfortunately for her, she couldn’t attend Pink’s concert: “My midwife told me, ‘It’s more than Braxton-Hicks contractions, you need to get to the hospital'” There follows a perilous path to try to get to the maternity ward! Accompanied by her mother and her sister-in-law, Angela Mercer experienced the roller coaster: “We tried to call a taxi through all apps but none were available. It lasted 25 minutes. Eventually I was like, ‘Okay, we’re just going to have to walk. Then my mom stopped someone in a lab coat and said, “You need to call an ambulance.” So that’s what we did. It was silly because we weren’t far from the hospital.” The mom-to-be ended up arriving at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston and delivered a baby boy hours after arriving. Angela had to undergo a caesarean section, and her baby weighed only 2 kilos when he was born!

The first name she had chosen with her husband echoes the singer

Even if her husband Ace did not have time to arrive at the maternity ward, the first name of their little boy had been planned for a few months and luckily, this one echoes Pink. A wink that touched the singer and for good reason, it is called: Aycen Hart. Carey Hart is none other than Pink’s husband! Even if this first name had been planned for a few months, it may be that fate got in the way of his two young parents. And Angela’s delivery touched a lot of people, she says: “Some of the nurses were at the gig that night and when they heard about my story they sent us videos of the gig so I could experience it from a distance. All the staff were so awesome.” But that’s not all, Pink herself sent her congratulations to the happy parents on Twitter! Their toddler baby is healthy and still in the neonatal intensive care unit.
