Five years after the tragedy, Mallory, now 26 years oldhas been found guilty by the assizes of the North, Friday September 23, 2022, for the murder of his offspring after three days of hearing. Verdict? The young woman was sentenced to six years in prison, as local radio station Delta FM reported. “I’m in favor of a call. […] This woman’s life begins now. She is 26 years old, she has not experienced anything”, said firmly the defense lawyer, Me Emmanuel Riglaire. As a reminder, the young woman, who met several members of the medical profession as part of the investigation, declared that she had made a denial of pregnancy and that she then thought that her child was stillborn during delivery. Words denied by the autopsy of the infant, as reported by our colleagues.

“Pregnancy denial concerns all women”
Denial of pregnancy is a psychiatric disorder and appears as such since 1985 in the classification of psychiatric disorders.
