a much-requested feature could come and change everything

Diablo 4 could well revise the operation of its seasons a little to please the players. It would use for this a very popular feature of Diablo 3.

Diablo 4 Season 1 is fast approaching with a ton of new stuff under its belt. The Season of Malfeasance will begin on July 20 and will allow players to access completely new free content for several weeks. Quests, challenges, cosmetics, but above all, lots of new equipment so you can experience new things. Only here, if most players are rather excited at the idea of being able to have new content to put in their mouths, others are much less hot. The reason ? Blizzard requires all players to start over a character each season.

Diablo 4 Seasons Divide

Franchise aficionados are very familiar with this method, which has been applied for quite some time now. Diablo 3 is certainly the greatest representative of this. It is like that, but it clearly does not please everyone. Not all players are really motivated by the idea of having to go back to the character editor at the start of a new season.

However, each player wishing to take advantage of the new content, the battle pass, the rankings and the rewards, will necessarily have to redo a seasonal hero. Which means he will start his adventure all over again. Only the progress of the world map (the exploration, the altars of Lilith or even the teleporters and the renown) will be kept from the Eternal realm (otherwise called “general”, the standard game mode of Diablo 4) and can even continue in the Seasonal realm. However, some things may change soon. Diablo 4 could indeed recover one of the most appreciated features of Diablo 3. Blizzard would seek to please the most resistant players to this season story.

A feature of Diablo 3 recovered?

Does Rebirth speak to you? This is a feature that appeared in Diablo 3 which allowed players to recover their so-called “Eternal” character, to make them seasonal characters. This allowed players to keep all the statistics (playing time, achievements…), the name and the appearance of their hero. Nothing is written in stone yet for Diablo 4but obviously at Blizzard, the developers are seriously considering the subject since the players are loudly demanding the return of the feature.

It was on Twitter that Adam Fletcher, one of the communication managers at Blizzard, answered a player who was wondering about the famous rebirth feature. Fletcher answers bluntly that if for the moment “rebirth is a feature exclusive to Diablo 3the devs have heard the requests and have been discussing the topic for a while”. It certainly won’t be ready for the launch of Season 1 on July 20. However, it may well happen in the following.

The seasonal system will not change, however.

This should certainly please players who do not wish to change heroes. However, it should be noted that in Diablo 3 the feature allowed to transfer ONLY the character and nothing else. The equipment, the level or even the skills were reset to zero. We therefore kept the appearance of our character, but we still started all over again from the beginning in the seasonal mode. Moreover, going back was impossible. The character remained seasonal until the current season was over. It was therefore necessary to think carefully before catapulting one of its permanent heroes into a seasonal one.

And you, are you interested in such a feature?
