License Alien seems to live a real golden age in the world of video games, at least in terms of the quantity of adaptations, more than qualitatively speaking. We still have the hope thatAliens: Dark Descent restores the image of this cult cinema saga, while another game Aliens using the Unreal Engine 5 and virtual reality is in development at Survios. But these two projects might not be the only ones, since according to Insider Gaming, two more games Alien would be in preparation, and not the least.
Two Alien games at Creative Assembly?
Tom Henderson’s site first reports thata new AAA game Alien is in preparation, with a release that would target the holiday season 2023. His codename would be ” Marathon », and would be developed for current consoles, including the PS5 and Xbox Series. It is said that this game would be inspired by what dead space and resident Evilbut it is unknown who the studio behind the project would be.
Could it be CreativeAssembly ? Everything is possible, but the same source also indicates that a sequel to the hugely popular Alien Insulation would also be in development.
Again, no studio is named, but it’s hard not to see Creative Assembly in charge. With Hyenas which occupies a major part of the studio’s forces, the latter’s priority seems to be elsewhere, even if as Insider Gaming points out, the studio says it is working on two as yet unannounced projects in addition to the FPS.
Everything is still at the stage of speculation, which is why we will take all this information with a grain of salt, until the rumor is confirmed or invalidated.
