Philippe Meyenhofer is to become Managing Director and Director of PartnerRe on April 1, 2024, succeeding Jacques Bonneau who will retire, Covéa, the parent company of the reinsurer, announced on Tuesday.

A member of the PartnerRe management team for whom he has worked since 2010, Philippe Meyenhofer is joining the Cova group management committee with immediate effect, said the mutual group, which notably brings together MAAF, MMA and GMF.

Mr. Meyenhofer will remain based in Zurich, according to a separate press release from PartnerRe, based in Bermuda and present as the 10th largest insurer in the world.

He will be supported by Jon Colello, current general manager of general insurance in America, who will have operational responsibility for all activities excluding life insurance.
